All questions regarding its certification procedures should be directed to FDOT. Other state certified DBE firms are eligible to participate in the LAMTD DBE program.
LAMTD strives to make it a priority to include minority- and women-owned businesses when seeking goods and services to run their daily operation. As a recipient of federal transit funds, LAMTD cannot (and does not) discriminate against any firm based on race, creed, color, sex or national origin. The LAMTD DBE Officer manages and coordinates the overall program, which includes communicating LAMTD's various policies in awarding contracts. PUBLIC NOTICE

DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE)

FY 2009-2010 GOAL

The Lakeland Area Mass Transit District d.b.a. Citrus Connection recommends for its Fiscal Year 2009-2010 budget a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program contracting goal of 16.2% for federally assisted contracts, in accordance with regulation 49 C.F.R. Part 26 of the U.S. Department of Transportation. The description and methodology used to arrive at this formulation are available for public review for forty-five (45) days at the offices of Citrus Connection, from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., from Monday through Friday, beginning on the first publication date of this notice. A public meeting for any interested individuals will be held at 1248 George Jenkins Blvd., Lakeland, Florida 33815 – Building A Executive Conference Room at 2:00 PM (EST), July 15th, 2009. Public comments, questions, and answers will be addressed at that time. Those needing special accommodations should contact DBE Program Liaison Officer noted below.
